The azulón side continue to shape their squad for the 2026-27 season with the addition of Andrés García. The footballer arrives on loan from Aston Villa and will immediately join the team's pre-season camp in Oliva, where he will begin working under the orders of José Bordalás.

Trained in Levante's youth academy, the defender made his debut for the granota first team on 3 January 2023 in a Copa del Rey match against Getafe. His performances earned him a move to Aston Villa, although his playing time in England was limited, prompting his return to Spanish football in search of regular minutes.

In the official announcement, Getafe describe Andrés García as a full-back with great stamina, capable of joining the attack, reliable in defensive duties and strong in the air. Besides playing as a right-back, he can also operate in more advanced positions on the flank, a versatility highly valued by the coaching staff.

His arrival allows Getafe to strengthen an area that needed more bodies. Kiko Femenía was the only specialist right-back in the squad following the departures this summer, while Seba Boselli could cover that position on an occasional basis.

With this move, the azulón club add another reinforcement for a season in which, besides LaLiga, they will face the preliminary round of the Conference League. The sporting directorate's objective is to increase squad competitiveness and offer Bordalás more alternatives across all lines.
