Getafe now know the six opponents they will face in the league phase of the UEFA Conference League. Friday's draw in Monaco handed the azulones three fixtures at the Coliseum and three away trips, in a format where every side meets a different opponent on each matchday.

At home, José Bordalás's team will host Brighton & Hove Albion, the strongest name of the three visitors, along with Swiss side Lugano and Andorran champions Inter Escaldes.

The three trips will take Getafe to the Netherlands to play Ajax, to Romania to visit Universitatea Craiova and to Georgia to face Iberia Tbilisi. They are long journeys, spread between the autumn and the end of the league phase.

The fixture in Amsterdam also carries a recent precedent: Ajax were already Getafe's opponents in the club's last European campaign, six seasons ago. Getafe therefore return to continental football after that gap, and do so as the only Spanish representative in the Conference League.

The league-phase format places every club in a single table. The top eight go straight through to the round of 16, while the sides finishing between ninth and 24th play a knockout play-off round. The six matchdays end on 17 December and the final is set for 2 June 2027 in Istanbul.

Qualification also has a financial reading. UEFA's approved revenue distribution for this season guarantees Getafe a minimum of 3.43 million euros: 3.17 million for reaching the league phase, 175,000 euros for having played the previous qualifying round and at least 86,000 from the so-called value pillar, which combines the weight of each country's broadcasting market with clubs' European coefficients. The final figure could rise considerably.

From there, every win in the league phase will bring in 400,000 euros and every draw 133,000. Those amounts will be added to the prize money for the final standings, the gate receipts from the three matches at the Coliseum and the commercial income linked to European participation.

The ticket to this league phase was secured on Thursday in Belgrade, where Getafe knocked out Partizan in the final qualifying round despite losing the second leg.
