Getafe registered Nemanja Gudelj with LaLiga on Monday morning, the last step required for the 34-year-old Serbia international midfielder to be able to play for the club. His signing was confirmed on Sunday: he arrives on a free transfer after his contract at Sevilla expired and has signed for one season.
With the registration completed, José Bordalás named him in the squad for the trip to face Osasuna at El Sadar, the match that closes the third round of fixtures. Gudelj has completed only one training session with his new team-mates and is already available to make his debut in Getafe colours.
The 23-man squad is made up of Letacek, David Soria, Diego Ferrer, Djené, Davinchi, Sazonov, Boselli, Kiko Femenía, Andrés García, Mojica, Zaid Romero, Valou, Moha, Gudelj, Terrats, Francho Serrano, Mangala, Risco, Óscar López, Borja Mayoral, Satriano, Enes Ünal and Joselu Pérez.
Alongside the Serbian, reserve-team players such as Moha and Joselu Pérez appear for the first time. The latter had already been named in a squad last season, although this could be his first call-up for a competitive fixture, and he joins the now familiar Risco, Diego Ferrer and Óscar López. Kiko Femenía also returns after serving his suspension in the match against Racing.
The most notable absentees are Abdel Abqar and Mario Martín. Neither has recovered in time from their respective complaints and they will not be rushed back in Pamplona. The injured Christantus Uche and Juanmi Jiménez do not travel either, nor do Yvan Neyou and Juan Berrocal, the last two for tactical reasons.
The side face this third round of fixtures a few days after sealing qualification for the Conference League phase, the third competition they will have to juggle this season.
