Getafe visited Pontevedra in the round of 16 and settled what mattered when the match had barely begun: in the 2nd minute, Álvaro made it 0-1, his first goal in the Copa del Rey.

Forty minutes later, the same man changed the story. In the 41st, Álvaro was shown red and left Getafe with ten for the entire second half, with a slender lead to protect.

And in the 90th it got worse: Diego Rico, booked in the 78th, was shown a second yellow and the side finished the match with nine players.

Even so, the 1-0 held. Bordalás closed ranks with Djené, Mayoral, Carles Pérez and Álex Sola. Coba, Peter and Arambarri were booked.
