Getafe hosted Valencia on matchday eleven, arriving with 9 points and 16th place, looking to string together home points at the Coliseum.

Valencia went ahead in the 36th minute through a goal from Barrenechea which, according to the match's official records, was his first in La Liga. The equaliser did not come until stoppage time: Arambarri converted a penalty in the 90th minute to make it 1-1.

The match also carried historical significance: it was Djené's 250th appearance in La Liga, all of them with Getafe, and the competition debut of Argüelles, who came on from the bench.

Bordalás made three changes at half-time: Juan Iglesias, Carles Pérez — booked earlier, in the 44th — and Álvaro made way for Nyom, Argüelles and Peter; Uche came on later for Álex Sola (84'). Djené and Nyom himself, already on the pitch, were both booked in stoppage time (90').

For Valencia, Thierry Correia was injured and went off in the 52nd minute, having been booked in the 45th; Mosquera was shown yellow in the 41st. Gayà and Rioja — booked in the 54th and injured in the 75th — left the pitch in the 75th; Barrenechea and Diego López, both booked, came off in the 84th; Duro was booked in the 88th. Yarek, Foulquier — booked in the 65th —, Guillamón, Valera and Fran Pérez all came on.

Referee Cuadra Fernández took charge of the match, in which Bordalás faced off against Baraja. The draw left Getafe on 10 points and allowed them to climb to 15th place.
