Getafe hosted Osasuna at the Coliseum in matchday nine, arriving with 7 points and 15th place, looking for a win to pull away from the relegation zone.
Bertuğ put his side ahead in the 21st minute with a goal that also marked his first in La Liga, according to the match's official records. The equaliser came in the 60th minute through Budimir, who levelled the score for the Navarrese side.
Bertuğ himself, booked in the 43rd minute, left the pitch at half-time and was replaced by Mayoral; Djené, also booked (42'), was the other half-time change, with Juan Iglesias coming on. Bordalás completed his changes with Berrocal (83'), Álex Sola (74') and Uche (74') making way for Risco, Aberdin and Álvaro.
On the visitors' side, coach Moreno also reshuffled his bench: Torró, booked in the 34th minute, made way in the 58th along with Rubén García, with Moncayola — who was himself booked once on the pitch, in the 75th — and Raúl coming on; he then completed his changes with Aimar and Zaragoza (79'), replaced by Rubén Peña and Moi Gómez. Boyomo (53') and Catena (87') were also shown yellow cards for the visitors.
Referee Sánchez Martínez took charge of the match. The draw left Getafe on 8 points, though the rest of the matchday's results saw the team slip from 15th to 16th place.
