In the 26th minute, Djené was shown red and left the side with ten men for more than an hour. Juan Iglesias was booked in the same passage of play.
Getafe held out for the rest of the first half and much of the second, but the punishment arrived in the 64th: Sow made it 0-1 and decided the game.
