Getafe visited Almería at the Power Horse Stadium in matchday 33, arriving with 40 points and in tenth place.

Greenwood put his side ahead in the 27th minute. Almería equalised through Lozano in the 41st, but Greenwood restored the lead in the 48th with the second goal of his first La Liga brace (1-2). Mata, who had just come on from the bench, sealed the game in the 61st minute with the final 1-3.

Alderete was booked in the 26th and Greenwood, having already completed his brace, in the 60th. Bordalás made five changes: Latasa left the pitch right at the start of the second half (46'), Óscar Rodríguez went off in the 57th and Ilaix Moriba in the 68th, while Milla and Carmona were substituted together in the 80th. On came Gastón Álvarez, Risco — making his La Liga debut —, Jordi Martín, booked while already on the pitch in the 86th, Yellu, booked in the 90th, and Mata himself.

For Almería, Jonathan Viera picked up a second yellow and was sent off in the last minute (90'), after an earlier caution in the 86th. Lopy went off at half-time (46'), Robertone in the 62nd and Léo Baptistão in the 70th, making way for Luka Romero, Arribas, Edgar and Peña; Montes, substituted in the 80th, and Embarba, booked in the 50th, completed the home side's changes.

Cuadra Fernández refereed the match. The club records also noted Embarba's 200th La Liga appearance. The win took Getafe to 43 points, though the rest of the matchday results kept the team in tenth place, with Villarreal ninth (45) and Osasuna eleventh (39).
