For Rayo, Íñigo Pérez withdrew Trejo and De Frutos (63'), Nteka (72') and Embarba (85'), bringing on Isi, Unai López, Camello, Pedro Díaz and Álvaro García; for Pedro Díaz, according to the match records, it was his first appearance in La Liga.
Referee Alberola Rojas took charge of a goalless match that left Getafe on 2 points and in 11th place after two matchdays.
