Getafe hosted Real Sociedad at the Coliseum on Sunday 1 September, in matchday four of the 2024-25 season, with José Bordalás and Imanol Alguacil leading their sides from the touchline.
The match had no goals, but the visitors had a complication of their own: Real Sociedad were forced into three injury substitutions, losing Brais Méndez (27th minute), Zubeldia (46th) and Traoré (66th).
On top of those injuries, the Basque coach also withdrew Aramburu (59th), Kubo (60th) and Sadiq (66th), bringing on Aihen Muñoz, Jon Martín, Javi López, Barrenetxea, Óskarsson and Becker. For Getafe, Bordalás made changes with Aberdin (67'), Carles Pérez (67'), Bertuğ (78'), Álex Sola (85') and Uche (90') all coming off, replaced by Patrick, Aleñá, Yellu, Arambarri and Peter.
The only bookings went to Juan Iglesias, for Getafe, in the 22nd minute, and to Aihen Muñoz, for the visitors, right at the end in the 90th.
The match records noted the La Liga debuts of both Bertuğ and Óskarsson, as well as José Bordalás's 200th league match in charge of Getafe.
Referee Munuera Montero took charge of a match that left Getafe on 3 points, though the rest of the matchday's results dropped Bordalás's side to 17th place.
