Getafe arrived seventh, on 45 points, with Real Sociedad breathing down their necks just one point behind. They left the Coliseum with three more and the same position, but with the gap stretched and a different feeling about it.

Satriano settled it before half-time. He scored in the 14th minute and again in the 41st, and those two goals come with a footnote: they are the Uruguayan's first brace in the Primera División, in his eighteenth appearance in Getafe blue.

A quarter of an hour after the restart came the third, and it carried a story of its own. Zaid Romero scored in the 63rd minute the first goal of his career in a top flight: he had managed it neither in Argentina with Godoy Cruz nor in Belgium with Brugge. A centre-back opening his account at the worst possible moment for the opposition.

Mallorca replied only two minutes later through Mascarell, who had been booked in the 31st minute and made it 3-1 in the 65th. There was nothing more.

Bordalás turned to his bench with the game settled: Nyom in the 64th, Djené in the 71st, bringing on Davinchi and Boselli. Domingos Duarte, Davinchi and Mario Martín were booked. Martínez Munuera refereed the match.

The night also left three round numbers in the Getafe dressing room: Arambarri reached 250 Primera División appearances, all of them with Getafe; Domingos Duarte hit 100 with the club; and Damián and Orejuela made their debuts in the division.
