Getafe visited the Bernabéu on 29 points and in mid-table. They left on 32 and with one of those nights that get told for years.

The goal came in the 39th minute and it was Satriano's. It was the only one of the match, and Getafe spent the entire second half defending it.

The price was steep in cards: Kiko Femenía was booked in the 8th, Arambarri in the 35th, Diego Rico in the 64th, Satriano in the 84th and Liso in the 79th. The latter was sent off in the 90th for a second caution.

In stoppage time Mastantuono also went off, having come on from the Real Madrid bench and seen red in that same 90th minute.

Bordalás protected the result with Liso, Abqar and Mario Martín from the bench. Muñiz Ruiz refereed the match.
