nGetafe hosted Sevilla with 38 points and in the eleventh place, in a stretch of the season in which every home match counted double. They lost this one in five minutes.
In the 5th minute Sergio Ramos made it 0-1. From then on the script was turned upside down: Bordalás' side, who are so comfortable defending a lead, had to spend an hour and a half chasing an equaliser.
It never came. Sevilla dropped back and managed the lead for the rest of the match, with Quique Sánchez Flores using up his bench in the closing stretch —Lukebakio, Agoumé, Juanlu, Sow and Pedrosa— to hold on to the 0-1.
Bordalás tried with four changes spread between the 62nd and the 79th minute: Gastón Álvarez and Ilaix Moriba left, then Juan Iglesias and Óscar Rodríguez, and later Yellu, to bring on Carmona, Mata, Aleñá, Diego Rico and Latasa.
The wear and tear showed in the cards: Óscar Rodríguez saw yellow in the 43rd, Diego Rico in the 88th, and Mata and Aleñá already in the 90th. Iglesias Villanueva was the referee.
The defeat leaves Getafe with the same 38 points with which they arrived and in the eleventh place, one behind Villarreal and with Las Palmas only one point behind.
