The match was decided in the 45+3rd minute, when Montoro converted a penalty for 0-1 just before half-time.

Getafe had the entire second half to equalise and could not manage it. Bordalás brought on Ángel, Ünal and Timor.

Olivera, Mata, Djené and Ünal saw yellow. Gil Manzano was the referee.
