Getafe and Volos FC have reached an agreement for the loan of Yvan Neyou, who will continue his career with the Greek club until the end of the current season. The azulones confirmed the move, made official on Wednesday 2 September, after it was completed in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

It is a loan with no disclosed conditions: neither club has announced any financial terms or the existence of an option to buy, so the 29-year-old midfielder will return to the Coliseum once the spell ends. His contract with Getafe runs until June 2028.

The departure comes after a start to the campaign without prominence. Neyou had not played a single competitive minute in the 2026/27 season and did not feature in pre-season either, having been left out of José Bordalás's plans. In Greece he will look for the regular football he was not getting in Madrid.

The Cameroon international joined Getafe in the summer transfer window of 2025, after his spell at CD Leganés. In the first half of the 2025/26 season he made eight competitive appearances in azulón colours, scoring one goal and providing one assist. In the winter window he was loaned to Saudi side Al-Okhdood, where he played seven matches.

With this move, Getafe complete another departure in an area of the pitch where Bordalás has alternatives, after a window in which the club handled both arrivals and exits in its closing hours.
