Getafe announced that Ünal now sits third in their all-time scoring chart in the Primera División, with 36 goals in the domestic league in a Getafe shirt. According to the club, the mark earns him a prominent place in its history in the top tier of Spanish football.
The goal that took him to that figure came in the comeback win over Sevilla (3-1). With Getafe trailing since the 19th minute, Ünal equalised in the 68th by converting a cross from Martín Satriano. Five minutes later, he supplied the cross for the Uruguayan to make it 2-1, and Orel Mangala wrapped up the match in stoppage time.
It is Ünal's second league goal this season, the campaign of his return to the Coliseum after signing with Getafe this summer until 2029.
