Getafe were hosting Atlético de Madrid thirteenth with 41 points, on the thirty-fourth matchday.

Albín put Getafe ahead in the 12th minute and Agüero equalised in the 39th.

The first change came early: Granero came on for Pablo Hernández in the 31st. Then Contra replaced Gavilán in the 66th and Kepa replaced Manu del Moral in the 80th.

In the 84th minute Getafe had the win within reach from the penalty spot and De la Red failed to convert it. Belenguer, Casquero and Granero were booked; for Atlético, Perea, Pernía, Camacho, Maxi Rodríguez and Agüero.

Paradas Romero took charge. Getafe remained thirteenth with 42 points.
