Getafe opened their Europa League group stage at the Coliseum, against Danish Odense.

Andreasen put Odense ahead in the 44th. Arizmendi equalised in the 51st and Pedro Ríos turned the game around in the 81st: for both it was their first goal in the competition.

Míchel had to move early, bringing Miku on for Gavilán in the 6th. Casquero then came on for Borja at half-time and Pedro Ríos for Parejo in the 73rd.

Boateng in the 9th, Casquero in the 52nd, Mané in the 61st and Pedro Ríos in the 80th were booked for Getafe; for Odense, Gíslason in the 67th, Troest in the 81st and Andreasen in the 86th.

Mark Courtney refereed. Getafe began the group with three points. Codina and Víctor Sánchez played their first Europa League game.
