Pedro León scored in the 3rd and Capdevila equalised in the 17th. Soldado converted a penalty in the 52nd, Cazorla levelled in the 67th and Capdevila scored the 3-2 in the 86th: it was his first brace in LaLiga with Villarreal.

Míchel changed Gavilán and Casquero in the 57th, bringing on Adrián and Parejo, and brought on Albín for Pedro León in the 80th.

Villarreal played with ten from the 51st after the sending-off of Cani and finished with nine because of Ángel's second yellow in the 95th. Cortés, Boateng, Soldado and Albín saw yellow for Getafe.
