Mario Cotelo opened the scoring in the 38th, De la Red scored the second in the 49th and Uche the third in the 58th. Nacho Garrido pulled one back in the 61st and Gavilán sealed the 4-1 in the 78th.
Laudrup replaced Cata Díaz with Belenguer at half-time, and brought on Kepa for Uche in the 62nd and Juanfran for Braulio in the 72nd.
There were no cards for Getafe; Burgos's Bayón and Velasco were shown yellow.
Iturralde González was the referee. Getafe reached the last sixteen on a 5-1 aggregate. It was Uche's first goal in the Copa del Rey and De la Red's first for the club in the competition.
