Correa scored in the 16th minute and Diego Costa added a second in the 67th. In that same minute he received a second yellow card, leaving Atlético with ten men.

Bordalás brought on Pacheco, Álvaro and Shibasaki; Sergio Mora and Portillo went off in the 63rd minute and Ángel in the 73rd.

Cala in the 44th and Djené in the 73rd were booked.

Munuera Montero was the referee. Getafe remain on 23 points and drop to 11th place.
