Getafe hosted Málaga in the second leg of the last sixteen with the 2-1 from the first leg against them: they had to come from behind.

The comeback was a whirlwind. Soldado scored in the 15th, Rafa in the 29th, Soldado again in the 49th and Pedro León in the 53rd. Juanmi pulled one back in the 63rd and Parejo sealed the 5-1 in the 78th.

Míchel brought on Pedro Ríos for Pedro León in the 57th, and Sardinero and Adrián for Casquero and Soldado in the 64th.

There were no cards throughout the whole match.

Mateu Lahoz refereed. Getafe reached the quarter-finals with an aggregate of 6-3. It was Soldado's first brace in the Copa del Rey and the first goal in the competition for Rafa, Parejo and Pedro León with Getafe.
