Getafe visited the Camp Nou in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal.

Xavi scored in the 18th and Messi in the 28th and the 44th, his first brace in the Copa del Rey. Güiza pulled one back in the 57th and Nacho in the 59th, but Guðjohnsen and Eto'o sealed the 5-2 in the 62nd and the 74th.

Schuster replaced Alberto Aguilar at half-time with Güiza — who scored twelve minutes later — and brought on Pachón for Mario Cotelo in the 74th and Pulido for Paredes in the 83rd.

Mario Cotelo was booked in the 25th, Nacho in the 42nd, Paredes in the 53rd and Cortés in the 68th for Getafe, and Márquez in the 67th for Barcelona.
