Getafe hosted Barcelona in eighth place with 23 points, in their final match before the Christmas break.

Escudero opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Lisandro Lopez made it 2-0 in the 14th. Pedro turned the scoreline around with three goals in eight minutes, in the 35th, 42nd and 43rd, before Fabregas scored in the 68th and from the penalty spot in the 72nd.

Luis Garcia brought on Gavilan, Adrian Colunga and Sarabia; Marica went off in the 60th minute, Diego Castro in the 71st and Lafita in the 80th.

Mosquera was booked in the 44th minute, Lisandro Lopez in the 70th, Borja in the 83rd and Alexis in the 85th.

Undiano Mallenco was the referee. Getafe remain on 23 points.
