Elimination in Badalona with two late goals and a red card

Getafe visited the Estadi Municipal de Badalona in the second round of the Copa del Rey, against lower-division opposition.

The match became complicated early on: in the 30th minute, Timor was shown a second yellow card and left the team with ten men for an hour.

Badalona struck in the closing stages. Chema Moreno scored in the 85th minute —his first Copa del Rey goal— and Esteban sealed it in the 90+3.

Bordalás brought on Enric Gallego, Etebo and Arambarri, to no effect. Nyom and Maksimović were booked.

Mateu Lahoz was the referee. Getafe bow out of the Copa in the second round.
