Getafe visited Lleida in seventeenth place with 45 points, on matchday forty.

Josemi scored from the penalty spot in the 12th minute and the game completely turned in the closing stages: Santi Lampón was sent off in the 81st and, with no changes left, Luca — a striker who had come on in the 75th — moved in goal. A minute later Simeón took a penalty and missed. Escoda and Fran completed the 3-0 in the 87th and the 89th.

Prado replaced Dani Marín and Mariano Juan in the 54th minute with Currás and Alejandro, and brought on Luca for Cañizares in the 75th.

Besides the red card for the goalkeeper, Otero, Cañizares and Alain were booked for Getafe; Lleida finished with ten men after Busquets was sent off in the 73rd.
