Getafe opened the 1990-91 season at San Sebastián de los Reyes's ground, in the first leg of the first round of the Copa del Rey.

López scored in the 14th, Félix in the 34th and Chencho in the 48th, his first goal for the club in the Copa.

Sierra brought on Míchel for López in the 58th and Antonio for Sebas I in the 75th.

Chencho himself was sent off in the 51st, three minutes after scoring. Pombo was also booked.

Linacero del Castillo officiated. The second leg was played three weeks later at the Coliseum.
