Manu del Moral scored in the first minute and Getafe defended the 1-0 for the remaining eighty-nine minutes.

Schuster introduced Nacho for Vivar Dorado in the 62nd minute, Paunović for Güiza in the 73rd and Sousa for Manu del Moral in the 85th.

Celta finished with ten men after Contreras was shown a second yellow card in the 88th minute. Contra, Casquero and Nacho were booked for Getafe.
