Getafe kicked off the 2011-12 season by hosting Levante.

Miku scored the 1-0 in the 61st minute. Juanlu scored the 1-1 in the 76th.

Luis García brought on Masilela, Güiza and Sarabia; Mané, Barrada and Casquero came off in the 16th, 59th and 84th minutes respectively.

Lopo was booked in the 44th minute, Miguel Torres in the 68th, Juan Rodríguez in the 39th, Lacen in the 86th and Sarabia in the 89th.

Iglesias Villanueva refereed. Getafe picked up their first point and finished tenth. Moyá, Lopo, Lacen, Juan Rodríguez, Sarabia and Barrada made their LaLiga debuts for Getafe; it was also Luis García's first match in charge of the side in the competition.
