Getafe went to the Vicente Calderon sitting seventh with 20 points.

Raul Garcia opened the scoring in the 26th minute and a Lopo effort ended up in his own net in the 36th. Valera was sent off in the 42nd and, down to ten men, Getafe conceded five more: Villa in the 50th and 78th, Raul Garcia in the 52nd, Diego Costa in the 69th and Adrian in the 93rd.

Luis Garcia brought on Marica, Mosquera and Arroyo; Borja went off at half-time, Michel in the 59th minute and Adrian Colunga in the 68th.

In addition to Valera's red card, Borja was booked in the 18th minute and Michel in the 20th.

Clos Gomez was the referee. Getafe remain on 20 points.
