Palermo scored in the 26th minute and Alavés sealed the win in two minutes of the second half, with Rubén Navarro in the 75th and Magno in the 77th.

Uribe replaced Nano Rivas with Alberto Ruiz at half-time, and brought on Cubillo for Diego Rivas in the 55th and Pachón for Míchel in the 75th.

Amaya saw a second yellow in the 66th minute and Getafe ended with ten men. Yanguas, Tena and Alberto Ruiz were also booked.

Ontanaya López was the referee. With the match played, Getafe sat fifth and two points behind Alavés themselves.
