Getafe opened the 1992-93 season at Moscardó's ground, in the first leg of the first round of the Copa del Rey, five days before the league began.

There were no goals in ninety minutes.

Sierra brought on Robert for Mariano in the 65th and Rivera for Blanco in the 69th.

Caro, Blanco and Rivera were the Getafe players booked; for Moscardó, Olivar and Felipe.

Pérez Álvarez officiated. The second leg was played nine days later at the Coliseum.
