Sevilla settled it before half-time: an own goal from Pulido in the 21st minute, Saviola in the 31st and Luís Fabiano in the 39th.

Schuster replaced Nano with Vivar Dorado at half-time, brought Belenguer on for Pulido in the 62nd minute and Pachón for Contra in the 72nd.

Contra, Nano and Diego Rivas were booked for Getafe; for Sevilla, Dani Alves, Javi Navarro and David Castedo.
