The only goal of the match came in the 50th and was an own goal: the record credits it to goalkeeper Abbondanzieri.

The first change was forced: Nacho got injured in the 23rd and Sousa came on. Then Paunović replaced Mario Cotelo in the 70th and Pachón replaced Casquero in the 81st.

Celestini and Paunović saw yellow for Getafe, and Quique Álvarez for Villarreal.
