Getafe CF have completed the signing of Orel Mangala. The 28-year-old Belgian midfielder arrives at the Coliseum on loan from Olympique Lyon, in a move that strengthens Jose Bordalas' engine room following the departures of Luis Milla and Mauro Arambarri.

The agreement sees Getafe cover 50% of the player's wages, while Olympique Lyon will pay the other half. Mangala has already passed his medical on Friday and joins the azulon setup with immediate effect.

The Belgian brings extensive international experience. Having come through the youth ranks of RSC Anderlecht and Borussia Dortmund, Mangala has played for VfB Stuttgart, Nottingham Forest and Everton, as well as Olympique Lyon. He is a full Belgium international with 23 caps.

In the Getafe dressing room he will be reunited with Martin Satriano, his teammate at Lyon last season. His arrival signals movement in the Getafe midfield, where Yvan Neyou and Javi Munoz are expected to leave in this same window, leaving Mangala as a key figure alongside Mario Martin and Ramon Terrats.
