The incident occurred in the 78th minute when Mawissa lunged in with his studs showing, catching Uche square on the shin while his leg was planted on the turf. The image of the knee buckling in an unnatural way sent a chill through teammates and fans alike.

Getafe, however, have moved quickly to calm fears. According to the club's official statement, initial tests indicate that Uche has sustained a contusion to the right kneecap.
